Chemical resistance of acrylic

Acrylic tolerate weak acids, bases and nonpolære solvents. By contrast is does not tolerate strong acids and bases in addition to polar solvents such as acetone and chloroform.
Water absorption is limited and acrylic is relatively easy to dry. However, if sheets becomes damp on one side they may begin to bend.
